Ensign: Invitation to try Ensign Windows

Welcome to Ensign Windows, the newest technical analysis software developed by Ensign Software, Inc.  Ensign Windows can be used with several live data-feed sources that provide real-time charts, quotes, news, portfolio management, and technical analysis.  Or, Ensign Windows can used without a data-feed, and can update charts from Internet sources.

We would be pleased to have you download a copy of Ensign Windows and give it a thorough discovery.    Click this link for  Download Instructions.   Installing the program gives you a 1 week trial use period.  After that we hope you will subscribe.  The program use fee is $1.35 per day for the balance of this month, and then $39.95 per month thereafter until you notify Ensign billing you want to cancel.   Use the built in Order form to initiate your subscription.  If the status after installing shows  'Expired',  send an e-mail to the Billing e-mail address found on the Contact Us web page, and request an opportunity to try Ensign Windows.

1. Our technical support staff at 801-328-1382 is available Monday through Friday, from  6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mountain time zone. The staff has a good reputation for their expertise and capability.

2. Ensign Software, Inc., has a built in  chat room  and we use  Ventri1o  for voice communication if you have a microphone and speakers.  Select  File | Open | Chat Room  from the Ensign Windows menu to open the Chat room window in the software.  Display the  'Support'  chat room to obtain customer support on-line.  The support chat room is staffed with an Ensign technician and is an excellent way to obtain customer support without the expense of a long distance phone call. 

3. E-mail can be sent to the Ensign Support staff using the e-mail addresses found on the Contact Us web page.

4. Ensign has an excellent web site with lots of information.  Ensign's web address is   www.ensignsoftware.net    The  Help  page has lots of documentation and a Tutorial.   Also, a searchable database of questions and answers can be accessed from within the program using menu Help | Q&A  Knowledgebase .  The  Videos  page as a collection of Training Videos.   Click on a link for one of the videos and it will play in your web browser.  Watching the videos is a great way to learn how to install, configure and use Ensign Windows.  If you have not yet installed Ensign Windows, please watch the video that shows you how.

5. Past issues of our  Trading Tips  newsletter can be read on our web site.  They provide information our subscribers find beneficial. The newsletter teaches principles of technical analysis rather than give security recommendations.  We are a firm believer in wanting each trader to do his own  thinking.  

6.  We make  frequent improvements  and post upgrades of the program on our web site. We encourage customers to use the Internet Services tool in the program to  download upgrades  on a regular basis, at least monthly.

7. The Ensign Windows program has the ability to  obtain chart data  for most stocks, futures and indices even if you do not subscribe to one of the supported data vendors.  This is an excellent resource to obtain data for symbols you want to watch, or to repair a file.

8.  Click the menu Setup | Connection and have the selection on Ensign Internet if you do not use one of the live data-feeds.   Close the Setup form.   Click on the Internet Services button and on a list enter the symbols you want to  download data  for.  This would be the list you want to auto download data for each day by clicking one of the download buttons.   A symbol does not have to be on this list however to see a chart for it.  Click the Charts button for the charts panel and here you can enter a symbol to open a chart for any symbol, and the data needed for the chart will auto download.   Example symbols to try:   

• $INDU.D    for a daily chart of the Dow Industrials
• ES #F.D     for a daily chart of the e-minis
• ES #F.5     for a 5-minute chart of the e-mini, continuation contract
• GC J8.60   60-minute file for the Comex Gold Futures, April 2008 contract
• AAL.L.D     Daily chart for Anglo American on the London Stock Exchange

9.  Ensign supports live data feeds from eSignal, IQFeed, DTN satellite, Open Tick, TransAct Futures and Interactive Brokers.    Subscription for the live data feed is made directly with the desired data vendor.  Subscription to Ensign Windows is separate and made directly with Ensign's billing department.  Use the  Order  form inside of Ensign Windows on our Internet Services page to subscribe to Ensign Windows.   All subscriptions to Ensign Windows include a free real-time forex feed from FXCM.   Click here for the  FXCM feed  details.
