Select  Set-Up | Connection  from the menu to view the connection settings. Ensign Windows is compatible with several data-feed sources.   This screen allows you to select the data source that you use.  Four panels on the screen are used to select possible Data Sources.   Select a Data Source from the 1st Data Source drop-down list.

Select 'Ensign Internet' as the 1st Data Source if you don't subscribe to one of the other data-feeds listed in the 1st drop-down box.  Do not select a data source that you do not subscribe to since many internal program settings are changed for each data-feed.  Click a link below to see specific documentation for the following data sources.   TransAct Futures, Infinity, TradePortal, Apex, Cannon Trading and BarChart users can activate your data-feed in the 2nd Data Source panel. The FXCM Forex data-feed (which is free for all Ensign users) can be activated in the 4th Data Source panel.

Data Feed
The 'Data Feed' panel will display in-coming data if the computer is properly connected to the data-feed source.  The panel displays the current status of the data connection and in-coming data.  The in-coming data box will show symbols as they are received.  'Packets' displays the number of in-coming data packets on the data-feed.  The Show Log is an aid used by Ensign's staff to watch portions of the data feed when solving data-feed reception problems with a customer.

Subscription Status
The Status should show 'Subscriber' or 'Trial'.  If the Status shows 'Expired' then call Ensign Billing at 208-552-2230 for help.   New users have a 7-day trial period to use the software before an order must be placed.   read more» Security
