Refresh: Fill in chart from Database

Q:  My ES Z7 10-second chart is missing data for the morning of Nov 8th.  How can I get that data?

A:  Open chart, position the view so the problem on the 8th is showing and post image using CTRL+F12.

Right mouse click and select pop-up menu Database Manager.  On the file list click on the ES071108 entry and post a picture.

OK, today is first day for you, so we have some work to do to get the 8th.  Change calendar to the 8th, change Source to DTN Refresh, quantity should then show 1 Day, close your chart please, click the Refresh button.  After refresh, reshow the form to me.

Great, now change calendar to 9th, and click Refresh.  Repeat the process of selecting a date, and clicking Refresh until you have done the 7th, 9th, and 11th.  You already have data for the 8th and the 12th.

Now open the 10-sec chart and reposition where the gap is.  Once the gap is showing in the view, right mouse click and use pop-up menu Rebuild Visible and the chart will rebuild starting back in the database for where your chart view is positioned and build rightward using data from the database again.   After the rebuild the gap should be filled.  Show me the new chart.

Excellent...   We could not have done this with old Ensign.  So you have witnessed one advantage of having a database.  Now that you have those good files, all charts based on ticks will benefit from the refresh done to get the data.
