Q: I am trying to setup a DYO template using ergodic indicator. I want to simulate performance of my template using old play-back files. The sim-broker enters the short trade correctly, but cannot exit at all. The template has an ergodic indicators and its average, and three DYO studies - an alert to indicate when the ergodic crosses its average and goes down. The next DYO is trade simulator which enters a short trade, when ergodic crosses its average. It triggers exit when ergodic crosses its average upwards, but I see Bought 0 trades in a continuous manner so it cannot exit the trade. A: Your attempt is a hard way. Please use just the ERG and 1 Study Alert configured like this.
The system is Long when the ERG is above its average and Short when ERG is below the Average. The chart position can be shown using the markers at the top of the screen like this:
