You need to have an account with Open Tick and complete the exchange agreement forms on the Open Tick web site.
In Ensign Windows, click menu Setup | Connection and select Open Tick on the Data Source list.
Enter your Open Tick User Name and Password on the Connection form. Then click the Connect to Open Tick button, and Ensign will connect to the Open Tick server, which is either 'feed1' or 'feed2'.
Check the Auto Run check box to have Ensign Windows automatically connect to Open Tick when Ensign runs.
Click menu Setup | Manager and enter on this list the symbols that are to be followed. A symbol must be on this list for the data to be requested from the Open Tick server. Futures symbols will use the eSignal format which is the root symbol, space, month letter, year digit. Example: ES Z7. Continuation symbol format is the root symbol, space, and #F. Example: ES #F. Index symbols begin with a $ character. Example: $TRIN The Index symbols from the NYSE do not need an exchange suffix. Other index symbols will be entered with the Open Tick exchange as a suffix to the symbol, separated by a hypen. Example: $TRAN-DT
Historical refresh for ticks, intra-day bars, daily, weekly and monthly data is available from Open Tick. Refresh from charts or from the Database Manager to download the history.
Open Tick can be used simultaneously with the TransAct Futures feed, and with the FXCM Forex feed.
