Setup: Data Panels

Select Set-Up | Charts from the menu, and then click the 'Data Panels' tab to view the Data Panels setup screen. This setup screen is used to specify the labels, price fields, and arrangement order of the fields for Chart Captions and Bar Data Panels.

The Chart Caption is located at the very top of a chart window. The prices in the Chart Caption reflect the current Open, High, Low, Last price for the symbol. The Bar Data Panel is displayed just above the bars on the chart. The Bar Data Panel displays the Open, High, Low, Last prices for whatever bar the mouse cursor is pointing to. The prices will change as you move the mouse around the chart.

The 'Field Labels' panel allows you to choose between No Lables, Short Labels, or Long Labels.

The 'Visible Fields' panel allows you to choose which fields will be visible on the Bar Data Panel. Place a check by the fields you would like to view in the Bar Data Panel.

The 'Arrange Order' panel allows you to arrange the order of the visible fields. Use the blue up and down arrows to move a selected field up or down through the list.

Right-clicking on the Bar Data Panel of a selected chart will bring up a pop-up menu that allows you to specify which values are displayed on the panel. An optional 'Timer Alert' can also be enabled. The Timer Alert will display a small clock icon on the panel when the bar is nearing completion. 1) On Daily Charts the Timer Alert will appear when there is 15 minutes left before the close time. 2) On Intraday Charts the Timer Alert will appear when there is 1 minute left before the bar completes. 3) On Constant Tick charts the Alert will appear when the bar is 80% percent completed.
