Press Ctrl-B while viewing a chart to hide or unhide the Bar Data Panel. The bar data panel is located at the top of the chart bar window. The Bar Data Panel is used to display values for each bar on the chart. Example, the TIME of the bar, Last price, High, Low, Open, Volume, etc.
The Bar Data Panel can be undocked and floated in the middle of the chart. There is a selection Handle on the left edge of the Bar Data Panel (just like a Toolbar). This allows you to drag the Bar Data Panel around the screen. You can dock the Bar Data Panel on the top or bottom of the chart bar window. When the panel is undocked, drag on the edges of the frame to reshape the floating panel. This allows you to stack the prices vertically instead of horizontally. The Toolbar can also be dragged off the chart.
Right mouse click on the Bar Data Panel to display a pop-menu for the panel. Use the pop-up menu to hide or unhide specific price fields on the panel. Click the Customize menu to change the style of the Labels.
The Delta Time field will display the amount of time that has elapsed (in minutes) from one bar to the next bar. This can be useful for Constant Tick charts (example NQ M2.-55 ) Delta Time shows how much time it took to collect 55 ticks (between each bar)
The Interest field will display Open Interest values for Daily futures charts.
The panel will show Short Labels or Long Labels or No Labels. Short Labels will be just 1 character in length (example: C: H: L: O: etc.) The short label for Delta Time is M:
Select Customize from the pop-menu to view the Data Panels set-up screen.
Use this form to change the order of the fields for the Bar Data panel. The list to the right shows the fields available for this panel. Click on a field to select it, and then click the Up or Down arrow to shift the field position up or down the list. The top entry will be the first field on the left on the Bar Data panel.
The 2nd choice is for arranging the field order for the information on the top caption line of a chart. Some users might like to have the Last price as the first field on the caption line instead of the Symbol. Then on a small chart size or when minimized the Last price is still showing in the caption. When minimized, having the Last in the 1st position would permit you to still see the price updating in the minimized caption.
The Font button displays the Font Dialog form to select the Font, and Font Size, and Font Style for the Bar Data panel. Click on the Panel Color box to select a color for the panel.
