Tools: Auto Repeat Mode

Ensign Windows has an Auto Repeat Mode for use with the draw tools.  Auto repeat mode is where the draw tool will continue to be drawn with mouse clicks without needing to reselect the draw tool button.  The mode is deselected by clicking on the chart background or clicking again on the Auto Repeat button on the  draw toolbar.

Step 1:

See the 1st button on the Drawing Toolbar whose image has the digit 1 beneath the diagonal line.  When this button is in the unselected state, all draw tools will be in a single use mode.  Click on the 1st button on the Drawing Toolbar to enable the Auto Repeat Mode.  The button will change to a depressed selected state and the digit 1 will change to the letter A for Auto.

Step 2:

Click on any draw tool button and draw the tool on the chart.   When the tool is drawn, the cursor remains the pencil shape and the same tool can be drawn again on the chart.

Step 3:

Click elsewhere on the chart background without drawing the tool to deactivate the Auto Repeat Mode.    Or click on the Auto Repeat button.   Either action will disable the Auto Repeat Mode and the Auto Repeat button will return to the raised state and the button image will again show the digit 1, which implies a single use mode.
