Q: I am trying to run a study alert on the macd. However when I click on the study alert, my study value box only lists the ma's and rsi study which are on my charts. There is no listing for the macd study which is located in sub-window 1. I have tried over and over again to get the program to display the macd indicator, but no luck so far. Can you solve this problem ?
A: A study alert will list ONLY those studies that appear ahead of the study alert on the chart objects list. My conclusion from your clues is that the MACD study you see is lower on the chart object list than the Study alert. See this example where the Study Alert is lower on the list and can see the MACD ahead of it on the Study Alert property form.
