Charts: Auto Refresh keeps chart current

Q:  I have a problem with all the Day and Week charts that I bring up. If I have not looked at a chart for about 2  or more weeks, most every month there is a break in the chart for 5 and some times 6 days where these bars are either elevated to a much higher level or lowered to near zero.  After I refresh the chart for 6 months, it is back to normal, but the problem resumes with the following month. Once a chart is refreshed, it stays normal for the previously refreshed periods.  The problem occurs mostly near the end or beginning of the month

A:  Thanks for posting the image for me to view.  I understand better the problem with your chart.

Move the cursor to the right side of the chart and right mouse click and use menu Delete | Delete Left to erase data.   Then right mouse click and select  Refresh | Maximum.   The refresh from IQFeed is returning clean data as this is the data I get from a refresh from IQFeed.

I do not know if the stock was once trading at 15 range and had a price split.  Once the chart is refreshed it should look as clean as the above example.  Also, whenever you view the chart the refresh should bring it current regardless of how many days have passed since you last view it.  Have the chart properties for Data tab set this way with Auto Refresh checked and Preserve Existing unchecked.
