Q: My objective is to show on a chart the change from the prior day's close in number format. I am doing this by using a DYO by subtracting "Yesterday Close" from "Last". This works, but the numerical answer shows up once for each bar on my chart. Then, when I contract my chart back down to normal bar spacing, all the numbers crunch together. I only want to see the number for the current bar. Is there a way I can make the number show up only once?
A: Yes, do not show the value as a marker on the bar. Instead, have the GV or DYO Line with this result on the DYO message line and show the value in one of the Section windows. OR, a 2nd way would be to have the value as a Line Label and show it in the margin on the right of the chart. This DYO example shows both suggestions.
